Position - Position is important in poker in order to gain the benefit of seeing how others act before you need to make a decision. If you are on the button, you will be the last player to act post flop, therefore the button is considered a very strong position from which to play nearly all hands. Conversersly UTG (under the gun) is the worst position in poker (to the immediate left of the big blind), that is because your decisions are effectively being made in the dark, as you've had no info from the other players in terms of how much they like their hand.
Trapping - Trapping is where you deliberately play your hand softly, by either just checking, or just calling. The main purpose is to fool your opponent into thinking your hand is weak, and hopefully causing them to make a bluff at the pot. It also gives them a chance to catch up a little, and therefore making them more likely to call a bet on a later street if they actually pair a card
Table Image - Table Image is very important in establishing how players at the table will react to you in different situations. If you have managed to cultivate a very tight table image at the table then you are more likely going to be able to bluff players at the table. If your table image is of a very loose player, then bluffing is going to be more difficult for you, but on the plus side if you do have a good hand there is more chance of getting callers if you bet it heavy
